Realme has updated roughly two dozen devices with the April and May 2021 security patch over the past couple of weeks, but the company still has some work left to do before it can claim that all of its eligible devices have been brought up to date. The latest device to boast improved security is the Realme X50 5G.
The company has started rolling out a new OTA update to the Realme X50 5G in the Asian markets. The new update carries the firmware version RMX2144PU_11_A.25 and the update brings the April 2021 security patch, optimizations for the Google Photos app and some more improvements. The update is based on Realme UI 1.0 with Android 10.
Realme X50 Pro 5G RMX2144PU_11_A.25 Update changelog:
- Updated Android security patch: April 2021
- Optimized the issue of content been blocked when setting wallpaper in Google Photo
The update is being rolled out over the air and customers should be able to trigger the update process — where available (in Asia for now) — by opening the Settings application and accessing the Software update. Realme also offers an alternative method of acquiring updates from the company’s archive for consumers who may want to skip waiting for the OTA release.
