Realme recently unveiled the 4G variants of the Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro featuring a MediaTek Helio G95 and the Snapdragon 720G SoC, respectively. The company previously confirmed that they’re working on the 5G variants of the same alongside the Realme 8i, which is reported to launch soon.
Now, a report from Realme Central claims the 5G variants of the Realme 8 series, which include the Realme 8 5G and the Realme 8 Pro 5G might launch on April 22nd in India.
In the past, “We will have a Realme 8 5G version soon (but not so early),” Madhav Sheth told to The Financial Express. Madhav, however, did not produce any time frame regarding the Realme 8 5G launch date. He added, “we have to understand that adding 5G with these features will incur additional costs.”
The report hypothesizes that the Realme 8 5G price in India will be between Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro prices, which range between Rs 14,999 and Rs 17,999, respectively. In case that turns out to be True, the Realme 8 5G might be one of the most affordable 5G phones in the Indian market.
Realme 8 5G, Realme 8 Pro 5G Specifications (Expected)
The Realme 8 5G might feature the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, a 7nm based 5G chipset, while the Realme 8 Pro is rumoured to pack in the Snapdragon 750G chipset as seen on the Motorola Moto G 5G.
Moreover, the NBTC certification of the Realme 8 5G had disclosed that the model number of the smartphone is RMX3241. The FCC listing reveals that the smartphone will pack in a 5,000mAh battery, run on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0, have support for dual-SIM, SA 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS and BDS.
Other revealed information includes the dimensions of the smartphone: 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5mm and the weight:185 grams.
