Realme 8 5G launches in Thailand with Dimensity 700 SoC: Price, Specifications

Realme has introduced the Realme 8 5G in Thailand, a day before the Indian launch. The new Realme 8 5G features the new MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset, packs in 48MP triple cameras, and an FHD+ display, and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the all-new Realme 8 5G from its specifications to its pricing.

Realme 8 5G Specifications

The newly arrived Realme 8 5G flaunts a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

There’s support for Dynamic RAM Expansion that utilizes the internal storage to increase the phone’s RAM capacity. The phone runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

The phone measures 8.5mm in thickness and weighs at 185 grams. As for the optics, there’s a triple rear camera module comprising of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a macro lens, and a monochrome lens. There’s a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

The phone is being powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Other features on the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and triple card slot for memory expansion.

The Realme 8 5G has been priced at THB 9,999 (~ Rs 24,000) for the base variant consisting of 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage in Thailand. The phone is also available in a 6GB+128GB configuration. However, we do expect the smartphone to be priced significantly cheaper in India, as the company claims it to be the company’s cheapest 5G phone in the country.
