Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro Launching Globally on March 24: Prebookings Open from March 15th

Realme, the company which brought the first-ever 64MP camera to India and popularized the quad-camera features across price-segments; will soon make a leap forward with the Realme 8 series globally. The company has now sent out launch invites to the media for an event to be held on March 24. 2021.

The digital launch is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24 at 7:30 PM (for India), 2.00 PM GMT for the United Kingdom and 3.00 PM GMT for France, Germany, Italy and Spain on Realme’s social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

Moreover, the company has announced that users can pre-book the Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro with an advance payment of Rs. 1080 and also avail exciting gifts and offers during the purchase journey. The initiative will empower eager consumers with better accessibility and affordability options to own the coveted Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8, the company claims.

To pre-book from Realme’s official website, users can head over and log in to realme.com, click on the banner of Realme 8 series and then head over to the section of Infinity Sale: Live Now.

Upon clicking on Infinity Sale, customers can pay INR.1080 to pre-book the smartphone and avail gifts and offers while buying. The Infinity Sale on realme.com will also offer a gift to Blind Sale customers. After this, users can come back on March 25, and pay the balance amount between 12:00 noon to 23:59 hours before midnight.

Based on this booking, the customers will receive their smartphones on priority. In case, a user doesn’t go forward with their purchase and pay the rest of the amount, the money will be automatically refunded to the source account. Users can also login to Flipkart to take the advantage of this sale, by following a similar process.

Realme 8 Series Specifications

Realme has confirmed that the Realme 8 Pro will indeed feature a 108MP quad-camera setup on the rear, have an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

As per a post shared on social media by the company’s employees, it is hinted that the Realme 8 or the Realme 8i will have a MediaTek Helio G95 processor, a 4G SoC. The Realme 8 Pro on the other hand is tipped to come in both 4G and 5G models, with the 4G model featuring a Snapdragon 720G SoC.

The 5G model might sport a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor found on the previously launched Realme X7 5G and Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G. As for battery and charging, the 8 Pro is rumoured to pack a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support.

A tipster recently unveiled that the standard Realme 8 models will come in 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB storage configurations with two colours: Cyber Silver and Black. The 8 Pro on the other hand will launch in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB +128GB storage options with Infinite Black / Blue and Illuminating Yellow colours.
