Realme has now started releasing the July 2021 security update to its devices. The Realme X is reportedly the first smartphone to get the update. More markets could get access to the Realme X’s latest security update over the coming days.
The Realme X is now receiving a new software update in Italy. The latest update, which bears firmware version RMX1901EX_11_F.02, includes the July 2021 security patch. According to documentation, the July 2021 patch includes fixes for more than 20 security and privacy-related vulnerabilities. It could also bring device stability improvements to the Realme X. Note that this update is being rolled out to realme UI 2.0 beta users in the country.
If you are a Realme X user in Italy, you can either wait for the update or check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also opt to download the latest firmware file from realme’s firmware database and flash it manually. Realme could release the update in more markets over the next few days.
Realme had launched the Realme X in mid-2019 with Android 9. It received the Android 10-based realme UI 1.0 update previously. Android 11 is expected to be the last major OS update for the device.
